Job Description
Are you a master of assembly, with a keen eye for detail and a knack for turning flat-packed boxes into beautiful furniture? IKEA Australia is seeking enthusiastic and reliable Flat Pack Specialists for casual day work, assisting our customers with in-home assembly across Perth. This flexible role is perfect for individuals looking for consistent, project-based work, providing a valuable service and ensuring customer satisfaction with their new IKEA products.
Key Responsibilities
- Travel to customer homes within the Perth metropolitan area to assemble IKEA furniture and other products.
- Follow assembly instructions accurately and efficiently to build furniture to IKEA's quality standards.
- Ensure a clean and tidy work area, both during and after assembly.
- Provide excellent customer service, addressing any customer questions or concerns professionally.
- Handle tools and equipment safely and effectively.
- Manage your time effectively to complete assignments within agreed timeframes.
- Communicate effectively with customers and IKEA coordination staff.
Required Skills
- Proven experience with flat-pack furniture assembly (personal or professional).
- Strong manual dexterity and basic tool proficiency (e.g., screwdrivers, Allen keys).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Reliable personal transport and a valid driver's license.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.
- Physical fitness to lift and move furniture components.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in a customer service role.
- Ownership of a basic set of assembly tools.
- Familiarity with IKEA products and assembly methods.
- A positive, can-do attitude and a willingness to learn.
