Job Description
Join Allied Universal as a Gated Community Security Guard in a friendly Brooklyn environment. This is a primarily sit-down role focused on monitoring and access control, ensuring the safety and tranquility of a residential community. You will be the friendly first point of contact for residents and visitors, managing entry and exit, and observing activity from a designated guard post. We are looking for reliable individuals with a strong customer service mindset who can maintain a professional demeanor while contributing to a positive community atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor surveillance cameras and alarm systems from a fixed post
- Control access to the gated community, verifying identification for all entrants and logging visitors
- Greet residents and visitors with a friendly and professional attitude
- Maintain accurate daily logs and incident reports
- Answer inquiries and provide directions as needed
- Conduct occasional light patrols to ensure perimeter integrity (as needed and feasible from post)
- Respond to minor disturbances or emergencies and escalate situations to appropriate personnel when necessary
Required Skills

- Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills

- Reliability and punctuality
- Basic computer proficiency for logging and monitoring systems

Preferred Qualifications
- Valid New York State Security Guard License (or ability to obtain one prior to employment)
- Prior experience in security, customer service, or a related field
- First Aid/CPR certification
- High School Diploma or GED
