Job Description
We are seeking an enthusiastic and customer-focused Part-Time Gourmet Chocolate Shop Cashier to join our team in Longueuil. If you have a passion for delightful treats and enjoy creating memorable experiences for customers, we want to hear from you! This role is perfect for someone who loves interacting with people, has an eye for detail, and thrives in a festive, fast-paced retail environment, especially during holiday seasons. Full training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently using our point-of-sale (POS) system.
- Warmly greet and assist customers, providing product information and recommendations.
- Handle cash, credit, and debit card payments, and manage returns and exchanges.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting sales floor and cashier area.
- Assist with stocking shelves, arranging displays, and ensuring products are presented beautifully.
- Prepare gift packaging and custom orders with care and attention to detail.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including opening and closing duties.
- Contribute to a positive team environment and uphold the high standards of Chocolats & Douceurs.
Required Skills
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
- Basic mathematical abilities for handling transactions.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced retail environment.
- Reliability and a strong work ethic.
- Willingness to learn about gourmet chocolates and confections.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 10 kg occasionally.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a retail, customer service, or food service role is a plus.
- Bilingualism (French and English) is considered an asset.
- An interest in artisan chocolates and the confectionery industry.
