Job Description

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Government Administrator to join a dynamic team supporting a key government agency based in Parramatta. This is an office-based full-time role, offering an excellent opportunity to contribute to public service operations. The successful candidate will provide essential administrative support, ensuring smooth daily operations and efficient delivery of services. You will be responsible for a variety of tasks that support departmental objectives and contribute to a productive work environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain administrative records, databases, and filing systems.
  • Prepare and proofread correspondence, reports, presentations, and other documents.
  • Coordinate meetings, appointments, and travel arrangements for team members.
  • Handle incoming and outgoing communications, including phone calls and emails, with professionalism.
  • Assist with financial administration tasks, such as processing invoices and expense claims.
  • Support project teams with administrative tasks and data entry as required.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant government policies and procedures.

Required Skills

  • Proven administrative or office support experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • A qualification in Business Administration or a related field.
  • Previous experience working within a government department or public sector environment.
