Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Janitor to join our team, providing essential cleaning and maintenance services for a prominent government building in Wednesfield, Wolverhampton. This is a full-time, secure employment opportunity, ideal for individuals seeking stable work in a professional environment. No prior experience is necessary as full training will be provided to ensure you are confident and competent in all aspects of the role. You will play a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for all building occupants and visitors, contributing directly to the smooth operation of public services.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform general cleaning duties, including dusting, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and polishing surfaces.
- Clean and sanitise restrooms, ensuring hygiene standards are met at all times.
- Empty waste bins and transport waste to designated disposal areas.
- Replenish supplies such as toilet paper, hand soap, and paper towels.
- Monitor and report any maintenance issues, damages, or hazards to supervisors.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Ensure cleaning equipment is properly maintained and stored.
- Assist with minor spill clean-ups and general tidiness of common areas.
- Work effectively as part of a team to maintain high standards of cleanliness.
