Job Description
Join Convergent Outsourcing as a Government Debt Recovery Agent, where you will play a crucial role in assisting individuals with resolving government-issued debts through respectful and understanding communication. This is not a cold-calling role; all interactions are with individuals who have already been identified as owing a government debt. We prioritize compliance, empathy, and effective resolution. Full training will be provided to ensure your success in navigating complex regulations and providing excellent service.
Key Responsibilities
- Communicate professionally and empathetically with individuals regarding their outstanding government debts.
- Educate individuals on their options for repayment, payment plans, and relevant government programs.
- Negotiate and establish suitable payment arrangements in accordance with client guidelines and federal regulations.
- Accurately document all interactions and update account information in the system.
- Adhere strictly to all state and federal debt collection laws (e.g., FDCPA) and company policies.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to resolve complex account issues.
- Maintain a high level of confidentiality and data security.

- Basic computer proficiency and ability to navigate multiple systems.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
