Job Description
We are seeking enthusiastic and reliable individuals to join our team as Seasonal Grape Pickers for the upcoming harvest season. This is a casual, physically demanding role perfect for those who enjoy working outdoors and are looking for temporary employment. Full training will be provided, so no prior experience is necessary. You will be an integral part of our vineyard operations, contributing directly to the quality of our harvest.
Key Responsibilities
- Carefully pick grapes by hand, ensuring minimal damage to the fruit and vines
- Adhere to specific picking instructions regarding grape ripeness and quality standards
- Work efficiently and maintain a consistent pace to meet daily picking targets
- Assist with sorting and packing grapes as required
- Maintain a clean and tidy work area in the vineyard
- Follow all safety procedures and guidelines provided by vineyard management
- Collaborate effectively as part of a picking team
Required Skills
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks for extended periods
- Good physical fitness and stamina for outdoor work in varying weather conditions
- Reliability and punctuality
- Willingness to learn and follow instructions
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in agricultural or outdoor manual labour (beneficial but not essential)
- Access to reliable transport to and from the vineyard location
- An understanding of basic food safety and hygiene principles
