Job Description

This is an entry-level position where no prior experience is required – we provide comprehensive training to help you succeed. As a Grocery Merchandiser, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our store shelves are well-stocked, organised, and visually appealing across various Tesco locations. You will travel to different stores within a designated region, implementing merchandising plans, rotating stock, and contributing to an excellent shopping experience for our customers. Key Responsibilities
- Travel to assigned Tesco stores within a designated geographical area.
- Execute merchandising plans by setting up and maintaining product displays according to company guidelines.
- Ensure shelves are fully stocked, tidy, and products are correctly priced and labelled.
- Perform stock rotation to minimise waste and ensure product freshness.
- Monitor product levels and communicate replenishment needs to store teams.
- Assist with promotional setups and special event displays.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area within stores.
- Build positive relationships with store management and staff.
- Provide feedback on merchandising effectiveness and store conditions.
Required Skills
- Eagerness to learn and develop new skills in retail merchandising.
- Ability to travel regularly to various store locations.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Physical ability to lift, push, pull, and carry merchandise, and stand for extended periods.
Preferred Qualifications
- A valid UK driving license and access to a reliable vehicle are highly preferred due to the travel requirements.
- Basic understanding of retail environments or a passion for grocery products.
- Experience using a smartphone or tablet for reporting and communication.
