Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and meticulous HRIS Data Specialist to join our Human Resources Technology team in Swan Hill. This pivotal role is responsible for the integrity, accuracy, and efficiency of our Human Resources Information Systems data. Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately enter, update, and maintain employee data within the HRIS, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.
  • Conduct regular data audits and clean-up activities to identify and resolve discrepancies and ensure data quality.
  • Generate and distribute standard and ad-hoc HR reports, providing timely and accurate insights to HR and business leaders.
  • Provide front-line support to HRIS users, addressing inquiries, troubleshooting system issues, and offering guidance.
  • Assist in the implementation of HRIS upgrades, patches, new modules, and system enhancements.
  • Document HRIS processes, procedures, and data standards to ensure consistency and compliance.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant data privacy regulations (e.g., Australian Privacy Principles) and internal policies.
  • Collaborate with HR business partners and IT teams to optimize HRIS functionality and enhance user experience.
  • Participate in testing new system features and functionalities prior to deployment.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience working with Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) platforms (e.g., Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, ADP, Oracle HCM).
  • Demonstrated experience in HR data management, including data entry, validation, integrity checks, and reporting.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a proactive approach.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, data manipulation, macros).
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Relevant HRIS certification or specialized training in specific HRIS platforms.
  • Experience participating in HRIS implementation, migration, or major upgrade projects.
  • Understanding of Australian employment law and data privacy regulations.
  • Experience with SQL or other database query languages.
