Job Description

Arctic Sweets Co. is seeking enthusiastic individuals to join our team as an Ice Cream Truck Driver / Bell Ringer for the upcoming season in Leduc, Alberta! As an Ice Cream Truck Driver / Bell Ringer, you’ll be the face of joy on wheels, delivering delicious frozen treats to neighborhoods throughout Leduc. This seasonal role is perfect for someone who loves being outdoors, interacting with people, and bringing smiles to faces of all ages. No prior experience driving an ice cream truck? No problem! We provide comprehensive training to ensure you’re confident and ready to hit the road. This is a temporary opportunity offering a competitive wage. Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate an ice cream truck along designated routes within Leduc and surrounding areas.
- Serve a variety of ice cream products and novelties to customers with a friendly and positive demeanor.
- Accurately handle cash transactions, make change, and process mobile payments.
- Maintain a clean and organized truck, ensuring all food safety standards are met.
- Regularly check and restock inventory on the truck.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any maintenance needs.
- Engage with customers, answer questions, and provide excellent service.
- Ring the bell to announce your arrival and attract customers.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety policies.
Required Skills
- Valid Class 5 (or equivalent) Alberta Driver's License.
- Clean driving record (Driver's Abstract required).
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Basic mathematical skills for cash handling.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Positive, energetic, and friendly attitude.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 11 kg (25 lbs) occasionally.
- Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in customer service or food service roles.
- Familiarity with Leduc neighborhoods and street navigation.
- Basic mechanical knowledge for simple truck checks.
- Food Handler's Certificate (an asset, but not required to start).
