Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Immigration Case Assistant to join our thriving team. This role is pivotal in supporting our immigration lawyers and migration agents with various aspects of the visa application process, particularly those involving the Australian Department of Home Affairs. You will be responsible for preparing documentation, liaising with clients, managing case files, and ensuring all submissions are accurate and timely. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist immigration lawyers and migration agents in preparing and lodging various visa applications with the Department of Home Affairs.
  • Draft correspondence, forms, and submissions with high attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Organise and maintain client files, ensuring all documentation is complete and up-to-date.
  • Communicate effectively with clients to gather necessary information and provide updates on their application status.
  • Conduct research on immigration legislation, policy, and procedural guidelines.
  • Manage deadlines and ensure timely submission of documents to the Department of Home Affairs and other relevant bodies.
  • Provide administrative support to the legal team, including scheduling appointments, managing emails, and answering phones.
  • Assist with billing and invoicing processes as required.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of all client information.
