Job Description
Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of seniors? UnitingCare is seeking empathetic and dedicated individuals to join our team as In-Home Support Assistants in Shepparton. You will play a vital role in enabling elderly individuals to maintain their independence and quality of life in the comfort of their own homes. Key Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate personal care assistance, including showering, dressing, and grooming, respecting client dignity and privacy.
- Assist with light household duties such as meal preparation, tidying, and laundry to maintain a safe and clean living environment.
- Offer companionship and engage clients in meaningful activities, fostering social connection and reducing isolation.
- Support clients with medication reminders and appointments as per care plans.
- Assist with mobility and transfers, using appropriate equipment and techniques.
- Maintain clear and accurate records of services provided and client observations.
- Adhere to all UnitingCare policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.

Preferred Qualifications
- Certificate III or IV in Aged Care, Individual Support, or a related field (or willingness to obtain).
- Current First Aid and CPR certification.
- Previous experience in a customer service or care-related role (voluntary or paid).
