Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and proactive IT Systems Security Analyst to join our Corporate Governance and Benefits team in Swan Hill. This critical role is responsible for safeguarding our information systems, with a specific focus on platforms supporting corporate governance processes and employee benefit programs. You will play a key part in identifying, assessing, and mitigating security risks, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and contributing to the overall security posture of the bank’s vital corporate functions. Your expertise will directly protect sensitive data and ensure the integrity of our operational frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct security risk assessments and vulnerability analyses for systems related to corporate governance, HR, and employee benefits.
- Monitor security systems and tools for suspicious activities, incidents, and policy violations, specifically within corporate applications.
- Assist in the development, implementation, and enforcement of security policies, procedures, and standards relevant to corporate functions.
- Participate in security incident response activities, including investigation, containment, eradication, recovery, and post-incident analysis.
- Collaborate with internal audit, compliance, and legal teams to ensure adherence to industry regulations (e.g., APRA, ASIC) and internal governance frameworks.
- Provide security guidance and support for new projects and changes impacting corporate governance and benefits systems.
- Administer security tools and controls, ensuring their effectiveness and optimal configuration.
- Educate and advise internal stakeholders on best practices for data security and privacy.
- Stay current with emerging security threats, vulnerabilities, and technological advancements relevant to the financial sector and corporate IT.
Required Skills
- Experience with security information and event management (SIEM) tools.
- Proficiency in performing security assessments and vulnerability management.
- Understanding of common security frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST).
- Knowledge of network security principles and technologies (firewalls, IDS/IPS).
- Familiarity with data privacy regulations (e.g., Australian Privacy Act).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Relevant security certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CEH, CISM, CISSP).
- Experience in the financial services industry.
- Experience with cloud security principles and platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure).
- Understanding of identity and access management (IAM) concepts.
