Job Description

Join the Central Coast Council team in a casual capacity, assisting with various community and operational tasks focused on local suburbs within the Gosford area. This role is ideal for individuals seeking flexible work arrangements and an opportunity to contribute directly to their local community. Full training will be provided, making this an excellent entry point for those looking to gain experience in local government or seeking flexible employment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assisting with maintenance and upkeep of public spaces including parks, gardens, and community facilities.
  • Supporting local community events, initiatives, and programs as required.
  • Performing general administrative duties and fieldwork support for local teams.
  • Engaging respectfully and professionally with community members, colleagues, and external stakeholders.
  • Adhering to all council safety regulations, operational procedures, and environmental guidelines.
  • Undertaking basic manual handling tasks and general site clean-up activities.

Required Skills

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a diverse team.
  • Demonstrated reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a community-focused role, general labour, or customer service.
  • Current NSW Class C Driver's License.
  • Current First Aid certificate or willingness to obtain one.
  • Familiarity with the Central Coast region, particularly the Gosford area.
