Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Justice Department Assistant to join our Community Corrections team in Mount Barker, South Australia. This entry-level role is crucial in providing administrative and operational support to our corrections officers, ensuring the smooth functioning of our services. You will be instrumental in managing client information, coordinating schedules, and maintaining essential records, directly contributing to the effective supervision and rehabilitation of offenders in the community.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive administrative and clerical support to corrections officers and team leaders.
- Accurately manage and update client records, case notes, and other sensitive information within secure systems.
- Assist with the preparation, formatting, and distribution of reports, correspondence, and other official documents.
- Coordinate appointments, meetings, and interviews for clients and staff, managing calendars effectively.
- Handle incoming and outgoing communications, including phone calls, emails, and postal mail, directing inquiries appropriately.
- Maintain office supplies, equipment, and general office tidiness.
- Uphold strict confidentiality and data security protocols at all times.
- Liaise professionally with clients, their families, service providers, and other external stakeholders.
- Support the onboarding of new staff members with administrative tasks.
- Assist with basic research and information gathering as required by corrections officers.
