Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Landscape Gardener to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of landscaping and garden maintenance tasks, ensuring all projects are completed to the highest standards. This role requires a practical individual with a good understanding of horticulture, excellent attention to detail, and a commitment to client satisfaction. You will work on diverse projects, from routine garden upkeep to contributing to larger landscape installations, helping to transform and maintain our clients’ outdoor visions.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform general garden maintenance, including pruning, weeding, planting, mulching, and lawn care.
- Operate and maintain a range of landscaping tools and machinery safely and effectively.
- Assist with hard landscaping tasks such as paving, fencing, and decking installation as required.
- Ensure all work sites are kept tidy, safe, and organized.
- Communicate effectively with clients and team members to understand project requirements and provide updates.
- Identify and address plant health issues and pest problems.
- Contribute to the design and implementation of new landscape projects.
- Adhere to company health and safety policies and procedures at all times.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 2 years of practical experience in landscaping or garden maintenance.
- Solid knowledge of horticultural practices, including plant identification and care.
- Proficiency in using common gardening tools and small machinery (e.g., mowers, strimmers, hedge trimmers).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong physical fitness and ability to perform manual labor in various weather conditions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Full UK driving license with the ability to tow a trailer.
Preferred Qualifications
- NVQ Level 2 or equivalent qualification in Horticulture, Landscaping, or a related field.
- Experience with irrigation systems installation and maintenance.
- PA1/PA6 spraying certificates.
- Basic knowledge of garden design principles.
