Job Description

Are you passionate about live music and eager to break into the event production industry? Panhandle Productions is seeking a highly motivated and physically capable Live Sound Engineering Assistant to join our dynamic team. This entry-level position is perfect for individuals with a strong work ethic, a desire to learn, and the ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including significant heavy lifting. You will play a crucial role in the setup, operation, and teardown of sound equipment for various live events, including concerts and festivals. No prior sound engineering experience is required; we provide comprehensive on-the-job training. Key Responsibilities

• Assist lead sound engineers and technicians with the loading, unloading, and transportation of audio equipment.
• Set up and tear down speaker systems, amplifiers, mixing consoles, microphones, stands, and cabling.
• Execute heavy lifting tasks, including moving cases, speaker cabinets, and staging components, often weighing 50+ pounds.
• Manage and organize cables, ensuring a tidy and safe stage and FOH area.
• Assist with microphone placement and general stage setup according to event specifications.
• Perform basic maintenance and cleaning of audio equipment.
• Support stagehands and other production crew members as needed.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and company procedures during setup, operation, and teardown.
• Maintain a positive attitude and willingness to learn from experienced professionals.
• Work irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as dictated by event schedules.

Required Skills

• Ability to consistently lift and carry heavy equipment (50+ lbs) over various terrains.

Preferred Qualifications

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Prior experience in a physically demanding role (e.g., warehousing, construction, moving).

• Basic technical aptitude or experience with audio/visual equipment (a plus, but not required).
