Job Description
We are seeking a talented and dedicated Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join our dynamic team in Round Rock, TX. As an SRE, you will be instrumental in ensuring the reliability, scalability, and performance of our core services and infrastructure. You will work closely with development and operations teams to automate processes, improve system resilience, and troubleshoot complex issues across a large-scale distributed environment. Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable, reliable, and efficient infrastructure and services.
- Develop and implement automation for operational tasks, deployments, and system health checks.
- Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement proactive solutions.
- Participate in on-call rotations to respond to and resolve critical incidents.
- Collaborate with development teams to ensure new features are designed with reliability and scalability in mind.
- Perform root cause analysis for production incidents and implement preventative measures.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of our SRE practices, tools, and documentation.
- Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
Required Skills
- Proficiency in at least one scripting language (Python, Go, Ruby, Bash).
- Strong understanding of Linux operating systems and networking fundamentals.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Knowledge of monitoring and alerting tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack).
- Understanding of CI/CD principles and tools.
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with infrastructure as code tools (Terraform, Ansible).
- Familiarity with distributed systems and microservices architectures.
- Knowledge of database systems (SQL and NoSQL).
- Certifications in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS Certified SRE, Azure DevOps Engineer).
