Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Meteorology & Climate Science Intern to join our weather station team in Leith. This entry-level position is perfect for individuals passionate about environmental science, meteorology, and climate change, looking to gain hands-on experience in data collection and analysis. You will receive comprehensive training on all equipment and procedures, contributing directly to ongoing research projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the daily operation and maintenance of weather station equipment.
- Collect and record meteorological data, including temperature, humidity, wind speed, and precipitation.
- Perform basic quality checks on collected data for accuracy and completeness.
- Support researchers in data entry and initial analysis tasks.
- Learn to identify and troubleshoot minor equipment issues under supervision.
- Contribute to maintaining a clean and organized weather station environment.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to discussions on data findings.
Required Skills
- Strong interest in meteorology, climate science, or environmental studies.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data recording.
- Basic computer proficiency (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.

Preferred Qualifications
