Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Midwife to join our Women’s Services team in The Woodlands, TX. This is a full-time, on-site position vital to providing comprehensive care to women throughout their pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum periods. You will play a crucial role in empowering women through their birthing journey, ensuring safe deliveries, and providing expert advice on maternal and newborn health.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide holistic care to pregnant women, including prenatal examinations, health monitoring, and personalized birth plans.
  • Monitor labor and delivery, administering necessary care and interventions in accordance with established protocols.
  • Perform deliveries and provide immediate postpartum care to both mother and newborn.
  • Offer comprehensive education and support on breastfeeding, newborn care, and maternal recovery.
  • Collaborate effectively with obstetricians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated patient care.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.
  • Respond to emergencies promptly and effectively.

Required Skills

  • Current registration as a Midwife in your home country with eligibility for Texas licensure.
  • Minimum of 2 years of post-registration experience in a midwifery role.
  • Demonstrated expertise in managing normal and high-risk pregnancies and deliveries.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient-centered approach.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and collaborative healthcare environment.
  • BLS and ACLS certification.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience in a diverse, multicultural healthcare setting.
  • Additional certifications in maternal-fetal medicine or neonatal resuscitation (NRP).
  • Fluency in languages other than English.
  • A Master's degree in Midwifery or related field.
