Job Description
Join our dedicated team as a Mobile Dog Groomer’s Bather / Assistant and embark on a rewarding career in pet care! This entry-level position is perfect for passionate animal lovers eager to learn the art of professional dog grooming. You will work alongside experienced groomers in our state-of-the-art mobile grooming vans, assisting with all aspects of the grooming process while traveling to clients’ homes throughout the Naperville area. Full training will be provided, offering a unique opportunity to develop valuable skills and advance within the pet grooming industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the lead groomer with bathing, drying, and brushing dogs of all breeds and sizes.
- Prepare grooming equipment and ensure the mobile grooming van is clean and organized.
- Maintain a safe and comfortable environment for pets during the grooming process.
- Help with client communication, scheduling, and record-keeping as needed.
- Learn and apply basic grooming techniques under direct supervision.
- Ensure the well-being and safety of all animals in our care.
- Travel daily in a mobile grooming van to various client locations.
Required Skills
- Genuine love for animals and a passion for their well-being.
- Ability to lift and handle dogs up to 50 lbs comfortably.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliable transportation to our base of operations in Naperville.
- Comfortable working in a mobile environment and traveling daily.
- Strong work ethic and eagerness to learn new skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience with animal handling (e.g., pet ownership, volunteer work, kennel assistant).
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
