Job Description
Are you looking for an opportunity to join a dynamic team with immediate start and weekly pay? Atlas Van Lines in Winkler is seeking motivated and reliable individuals to join our crew as Movers / General Labourers. No previous experience is required – we provide full, on-the-job training to equip you with all the skills needed to succeed. If you’re physically fit, enjoy working as part of a team, and are eager to learn, this is the perfect role for you!
Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently load and unload household goods and office furniture into and out of moving trucks or storage containers.
- Pad, wrap, and protect furniture and belongings to prevent damage during transit.
- Disassemble and reassemble furniture as needed.
- Maneuver heavy items through various spaces (stairs, doorways, etc.) with care.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Communicate effectively with team members and customers.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and company policies.
- Assist with other general labour tasks as required.
- Represent Atlas Van Lines professionally and courteously at all times.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and carry heavy items (up to 75 lbs) repeatedly.
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude.
- Reliability and punctuality.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
- Willingness to learn and follow instructions.
- Excellent communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Valid Class 5 Manitoba Driver's License (or equivalent) with a clean driving record.
- Experience in a customer service role.
- Familiarity with basic hand tools.
