Job Description
Are you looking for a physically active role with immediate start and weekly pay? Maritime Movers & Storage is hiring enthusiastic and reliable individuals to join our team as Movers / General Labourers. No prior experience is needed – we provide comprehensive training to ensure your success. Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently load and unload furniture and household items onto and off moving trucks.
- Pack and unpack items with care, using appropriate protective materials.
- Disassemble and reassemble furniture as needed.
- Operate moving equipment such as dollies, hand trucks, and furniture pads.
- Protect client property by wrapping furniture and placing floor runners.
- Communicate effectively with team members and clients.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Assist with other general labour tasks as required.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and carry heavy items (up to 75 lbs) repeatedly.
- Strong physical stamina and endurance.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Reliable and punctual.
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
- Ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Valid driver's license (an asset, but not mandatory).
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a physically demanding role (e.g., construction, warehouse, landscaping) is a plus but not required.
