Job Description
Are you a reliable and motivated individual looking for a dynamic driving role? Join our team as a Multi-Drop Delivery Driver in Portage la Prairie! We are looking for dedicated individuals to deliver parcels efficiently and safely. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a leading logistics company, offering weekly pay, a company van, and flexible scheduling options. As a Multi-Drop Delivery Driver, you will be responsible for providing excellent service while delivering and collecting parcels from various customers within the designated area of Portage la Prairie. You will manage your route effectively, ensuring timely and secure deliveries. A company van will be provided for your use during working hours.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently deliver and collect a high volume of parcels on a multi-drop route.
- Plan and execute daily delivery routes in a time-efficient manner.
- Ensure all parcels are delivered to the correct recipient, obtaining signatures and confirming delivery details as required.
- Conduct daily vehicle checks and maintain the cleanliness and roadworthiness of the provided company van.
- Provide exceptional customer service, representing Purolator professionally at all times.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, company policies, and safety regulations.
- Handle payment transactions and paperwork accurately when necessary.
Required Skills
- Valid Class 5 (or equivalent) driver's license with a clean driving abstract.
- Proven experience in a driving role, preferably commercial driving or delivery, for at least 6 months.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Physical ability to lift and carry packages of varying weights (up to 70 lbs).
- Must pass a criminal background check and pre-employment drug screening.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience with multi-drop delivery routes.
- Familiarity with the Portage la Prairie area.
- Knowledge of parcel scanning technology or handheld devices.
