Job Description

We are seeking enthusiastic and physically fit individuals to join our mustering teams as Casual Mustering Offsiders for day shifts across our various stations in the Queensland Outback, managed from our Rockhampton office. This entry-level role is perfect for those eager to learn the ropes of outback station life and cattle management. As an Offsider, you will work alongside experienced stockmen and women, assisting with all aspects of cattle mustering and general station duties. Full training will be provided to the right candidates who demonstrate a strong work ethic and a passion for the rural lifestyle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist stockmen and women with daily cattle mustering operations, including drafting and yard work.
  • Learn and apply safe animal handling techniques.
  • Operate and maintain station equipment under supervision (e.g., motorbikes, quads, fencing tools).
  • Participate in general station maintenance tasks, such as fencing, water point checks, and infrastructure upkeep.
  • Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and company policies.
  • Work effectively as part of a team in remote and sometimes challenging conditions.
  • Assist with the care and welfare of working horses (if applicable to the station).

  • Current First Aid certification.
  • Manual driver's license.
