Job Description

Key Responsibilities
- Patrol designated park areas to ensure visitor safety and compliance with park regulations.
- Provide information, assistance, and interpretive guidance to park visitors.
- Participate in resource management activities, including wildlife monitoring and habitat restoration.
- Respond to emergencies, provide first aid, and assist in search and rescue operations.
- Conduct educational programs and public presentations on natural and cultural heritage.
- Assist with the maintenance of park facilities, trails, and infrastructure.
- Document incidents, prepare reports, and maintain accurate records of park activities.
Required Skills
- Strong enthusiasm for nature, wildlife, and outdoor living.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for public interaction.
- Good physical fitness and the ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and terrain.
- A willingness to learn, adapt, and work effectively as part of a team.
- Valid Class 5 driver's license (or equivalent) in good standing.
- Ability to complete comprehensive training provided by Parks Canada.
Preferred Qualifications
- Current Wilderness First Aid (WFA) or higher certification.
- Previous experience in customer service, public education, or outdoor recreation.
- Basic knowledge of local ecology, flora, and fauna.
- Fluency in French is an asset.
