Job Description
We are seeking an experienced, dedicated, and passionate Registered Manager to lead our nursing home in Bootle, Merseyside. This pivotal role requires an individual with a strong background in elderly care management, an excellent understanding of CQC regulations, and a proven ability to inspire and lead a diverse team. As a Registered Manager, you will be responsible for the overall operational management, ensuring the highest standards of care, resident well-being, and regulatory compliance are consistently met. Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day management and operation of the nursing home.
- Ensure full compliance with CQC standards and all relevant health and social care regulations.
- Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of nurses and care staff, fostering a positive and professional work environment.
- Manage budgets, resources, and staffing levels efficiently.
- Develop and implement individualised care plans, ensuring resident needs are met with dignity and respect.
- Conduct regular audits and quality assurance checks to maintain high standards of care.
- Foster strong relationships with residents, their families, and external stakeholders.
- Handle complaints and safeguarding concerns in line with company policy and regulatory requirements.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement and staff development.
Required Skills
- Active NMC registration as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- Demonstrable experience in a leadership or management role within a nursing home or similar elderly care setting
- Thorough knowledge of CQC regulations and standards
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills
- Strong leadership abilities with a person-centred approach
- Proficiency in care planning, risk assessment, and quality assurance
- Eligibility for UK Tier 2 (Skilled Worker) Visa sponsorship
Preferred Qualifications
- NVQ Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care Services or equivalent management qualification
- Proven track record of achieving positive CQC inspection outcomes
- Experience with budget management and financial oversight
- Familiarity with local health and social care pathways in Merseyside
