Job Description
Join the team at Sanitarium Health Food Company as a Seasonal Nut Harvester! We are seeking enthusiastic and reliable individuals to assist with our upcoming harvest season in Gosford, NSW. This is a temporary, full-time role perfect for those who enjoy working outdoors and contributing to the production of high-quality food products. No prior experience is required as full training will be provided to ensure your success in this vital role.
As a Nut Harvester, you will play a crucial part in collecting and preparing nuts for processing. This role involves physical work in an outdoor environment, requiring stamina and a positive attitude. You will learn valuable agricultural skills and work alongside a supportive team dedicated to sustainable farming practices and quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Harvesting nuts by hand or using designated equipment according to training and guidelines.
- Sorting and inspecting harvested nuts for quality, removing debris and unsuitable items.
- Transporting harvested nuts from the field to collection points.
- Operating and maintaining basic harvesting equipment safely and efficiently.
- Adhering to all safety protocols and hygiene standards on the farm.
- Working collaboratively with the team to achieve daily harvest targets.
- Assisting with general farm duties as required.
Required Skills
- Physical fitness and stamina to perform repetitive tasks in varying weather conditions.
