Job Description
We are excited to offer an enriching Occupational Therapy Intern position with a focus on pediatric care. This internship provides an unparalleled opportunity for aspiring occupational therapists to gain hands-on experience in a supportive and dynamic clinic environment. As an intern, you will be an integral part of our team, working closely with experienced occupational therapists specializing in pediatric care. Key Responsibilities
- Observe and assist licensed Occupational Therapists during client assessments and treatment sessions.
- Support therapists in preparing treatment areas and gathering necessary equipment.
- Learn to document client progress and contribute to treatment planning under direct supervision.
- Engage in professional development activities and team meetings.
- Participate in administrative tasks as needed to support clinic operations.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized therapeutic environment.
Required Skills
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
- Demonstrated passion for working with children and a strong interest in pediatric occupational therapy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Commitment to professional ethics and client confidentiality.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous volunteer or observation experience in a pediatric setting.
- Basic knowledge of child development milestones.
- First Aid and CPR certification.
