Job Description

As an Oil Rig Deck Swabber, you will be a vital part of the operational crew, responsible for ensuring the cleanliness, tidiness, and safety of the rig’s decks and working areas. This role involves rigorous physical activity and adherence to strict safety protocols at all times. You will work as part of a close-knit team, contributing directly to the smooth operation of high-value energy production assets. Key Responsibilities

  • Performing thorough cleaning and maintenance tasks on rig decks, living quarters, and operational areas.
  • Operating and maintaining cleaning equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Assisting with the safe handling and disposal of waste materials in accordance with environmental regulations.
  • Supporting other deck operations as directed by supervisors, ensuring a clean and hazard-free workspace.
  • Strictly adhering to all company safety policies, procedures, and offshore regulations.
  • Participating in safety drills and emergency response training.
  • Working effectively as part of a diverse and international team in confined and challenging conditions.

Required Skills

  • Physical fitness and stamina to perform demanding tasks in an offshore environment.
  • A strong commitment to safety and adherence to all operational procedures.
  • Ability to follow instructions meticulously and work effectively within a team structure.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • No prior offshore experience is necessary; full training will be provided.
  • Must be legally eligible to work offshore in the UK and hold a valid passport.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Possession of valid offshore certifications such as BOSIET (Basic Offshore Safety Induction and Emergency Training), MIST (Minimum Industry Safety Training), and an offshore medical certificate. (Candidates without these will receive support and training to obtain them upon hiring.)
  • Previous experience in physically demanding roles or environments is a plus.
