Job Description
We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Painting & Sculpture Studio Intern to join our team. This entry-level internship offers a unique opportunity to gain practical experience in a professional art studio setting. The successful candidate will assist our resident artists and studio manager with daily operations, project support, and studio maintenance. This role is ideal for individuals with a strong interest in visual arts, eager to learn the practicalities of an active creative environment, and contribute to the vibrant artistic community in Milton Keynes. Full training will be provided, making this an excellent stepping stone for your artistic career.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist resident artists with preparation of materials and tools for painting and sculpting projects.
- Help maintain studio cleanliness and organization, including tidying workstations, cleaning equipment, and managing supplies.
- Support the studio manager with inventory tracking of art supplies and equipment.
- Prepare canvases, mix paints, and assist with basic sculpting material preparation as directed.
- Aid in the setup and takedown of studio workshops and events.
- Research and gather visual references or information for ongoing projects.
- Perform general administrative tasks related to studio operations as needed.
Required Skills
- Strong passion for painting, sculpture, and the visual arts.
- Eagerness to learn and take initiative in a fast-paced creative environment.
- Reliable, punctual, and possessing a strong work ethic.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
