Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Part-time Bar Manager to oversee our evening operations. This crucial role involves supervising bar staff, managing inventory, ensuring high standards of customer service, and maintaining a welcoming and safe environment for our patrons. You will be responsible for the smooth running of the bar during your shifts, from opening preparations to secure closing procedures. Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage all evening bar operations, including staff supervision and scheduling.
- Ensure excellent customer service standards are met and exceeded.
- Manage bar inventory, including ordering, stock rotation, and wastage control.
- Handle cash management, till reconciliation, and end-of-shift reporting.
- Train and mentor bar staff on beverage preparation, service standards, and responsible service practices.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area.
- Address customer feedback and resolve any issues promptly and professionally.
- Ensure compliance with all liquor licensing laws and health and safety regulations.
- Assist with promotional events and special offers at the bar.
- Perform secure opening and closing procedures for evening shifts.
Required Skills
- Minimum 3 years of experience in bar operations, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or management role.
- Current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certificate for Western Australia.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Proficiency in cash handling and point-of-sale (POS) systems.
- Knowledge of various alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
- Ability to work evening hours, including weekends and public holidays.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a high-volume bar or restaurant environment.
- First Aid certification.
- Knowledge of local licensing laws and compliance.
- Experience with inventory management software.
