Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Pipeline Engineer to join our dynamic team in Holbeck, Leeds. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to critical infrastructure projects, working on the design, analysis, and implementation of various pipeline systems. You will be instrumental in ensuring the safety, efficiency, and sustainability of our projects, collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams and utilising cutting-edge engineering principles.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform detailed design and analysis of pipelines for various applications, including water, wastewater, oil, and gas.
- Develop specifications, calculations, and drawings in accordance with relevant industry standards and codes.
- Conduct feasibility studies, risk assessments, and optioneering to determine optimal pipeline routes and designs.
- Collaborate with project managers, clients, and other engineering disciplines to ensure integrated project delivery.
- Prepare technical reports, presentations, and documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
- Participate in site visits, inspections, and construction support activities as required.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations throughout the project lifecycle.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to knowledge sharing within the team.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Pipeline Engineering.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in pipeline design and engineering.
- Proficiency in pipeline design software (e.g., Caesar II, AutoPIPE, WaterCAD, SewerCAD).
- Strong understanding of relevant industry codes and standards (e.g., API, ASME, EN, DNV).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Valid UK driving license.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
- Chartered Engineer status or actively working towards it.
- Experience with GIS applications for pipeline routing and analysis.
- Knowledge of trenchless technology methods.
- Experience in hydraulic modelling and surge analysis.
