Job Description

Key Responsibilities
- Engage with community members to build positive relationships and address local concerns.
- Provide non-emergency public assistance and information, directing inquiries appropriately.
- Assist police officers with administrative tasks, data entry, and report preparation.
- Participate in community outreach programs and events, representing the Brantford Police Service.
- Conduct visible patrols in designated areas to deter crime and foster a sense of security.
- Support crime prevention initiatives and educational campaigns.
- Document interactions and observations accurately and professionally.
- Adhere to all departmental policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
Required Skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a desire to help others.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Demonstrated problem-solving capabilities.
- High level of integrity and professionalism.
- Valid Ontario Class G driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check, including a criminal record check.
- Basic computer proficiency.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous volunteer experience in community service or public-facing roles.
- Knowledge of the Brantford community and its diverse population.
- First Aid and CPR certification.
