Job Description
Join the dedicated team at BC Transit as a Public Transit Bus Cleaner on the Night Shift, enjoying full benefits. This vital role ensures our buses are impeccably clean and ready for service, providing a pleasant and hygienic experience for our passengers. As a night shift cleaner, you will be responsible for the interior and exterior cleanliness of our transit fleet, working diligently during off-peak hours to meet our high standards. Key Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of bus interiors, including wiping down seats, windows, floors, and handrails.
- Empty trash receptacles and replace liners inside buses.
- Clean and sanitize driver compartments and common touchpoints.
- Sweep, mop, and vacuum bus floors.
- Clean bus exteriors, including windows, mirrors, and body using appropriate equipment.
- Restock cleaning supplies within the buses as needed.
- Inspect buses for damage or maintenance issues and report findings to supervisors.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
- Operate cleaning equipment safely and efficiently.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area within the depot.
Required Skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team during night hours.
