Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and trustworthy individual to join our team as a Public Treasury Vault Assistant in Bath. This is an exciting entry-level opportunity for someone who is looking to start a career in the financial services industry, specifically within a high-security environment. As a Vault Assistant, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the integrity and security of our valuable assets. Full training will be provided to ensure you are confident and competent in all aspects of the role, requiring no prior experience in a similar position.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute the secure receipt, storage, and dispatch of valuable items in compliance with strict security protocols.
- Perform accurate inventory counts and maintain meticulous records of all vault transactions.
- Monitor security systems and report any discrepancies or unusual activities immediately.
- Operate specialized vault equipment and tools safely and efficiently after appropriate training.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure smooth daily operations and adherence to schedules.
- Adhere strictly to all company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements related to security and operations.
- Participate in regular security audits and inventory checks as required.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment within the vault area.
Required Skills
- High degree of integrity and trustworthiness, with a strong ethical compass.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
- Ability to follow precise instructions and security protocols without deviation.
- Basic computer literacy for record-keeping and system monitoring.
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Physical capability to lift and move containers up to 20kg safely and repeatedly.
- A proactive attitude and willingness to learn new skills.
- No prior experience required; comprehensive training will be provided.

- Familiarity with basic inventory management concepts.
