Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Qualified Specialist to join our dynamic Healthcare & Allied team in Geelong. This role is crucial in supporting the delivery of high-quality patient care and operational excellence within our diverse health service. The successful candidate will apply their expertise in a specialized area, contributing to diagnostic, therapeutic, or support services, ensuring optimal patient outcomes and adherence to best practice guidelines. Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialized assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care or support services.
- Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure integrated and comprehensive service delivery.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records and documentation in compliance with organizational policies.
- Participate in continuous professional development and training initiatives to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Contribute to quality improvement projects and initiatives within the department and broader health service.
- Adhere to all relevant healthcare standards, ethical guidelines, and safety protocols.
- Supervise and mentor junior staff or students as required.
Required Skills
- Relevant tertiary qualification in a healthcare or allied health discipline (e.g., Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Social Work, Medical Imaging, Nursing).
- Current professional registration with the appropriate Australian board/council (e.g., AHPRA, AASW) if applicable.
- Minimum of 2 years post-qualification experience in a relevant clinical or specialist role.
- Demonstrated strong clinical reasoning and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team.
- Proficiency in using health information systems and technology.
- Commitment to patient-centred care and professional ethics.
Preferred Qualifications
- Post-graduate qualifications or advanced certifications in a specialized area.
- Experience working in a large regional health service.
- Familiarity with Lean principles or other continuous improvement methodologies.
- Experience in clinical supervision or mentoring.
