Job Description

We are seeking a highly resilient and compassionate individual to join our team as a Remote Emergency Dispatch Operator. This is a crucial, high-stress, high-reward work-from-home position that requires exceptional communication skills, quick thinking, and the ability to remain calm under pressure. You will be the vital first point of contact for individuals experiencing emergencies, dispatching appropriate resources, and providing life-saving instructions. Key Responsibilities

  • Receive and evaluate incoming emergency and non-emergency calls with urgency and professionalism.
  • Prioritize calls and dispatch appropriate emergency medical, security, or other support personnel according to established protocols.
  • Provide clear, concise, and critical pre-arrival instructions to callers in emergency situations.
  • Maintain accurate records of all calls, dispatches, and relevant information in a timely manner.
  • Monitor emergency response progress and provide updates as necessary.
  • Collaborate effectively with field personnel and other dispatchers to ensure seamless coordination.
  • Adhere strictly to all departmental policies, procedures, and ethical guidelines.

Required Skills

  • Ability to remain calm, composed, and effective in high-stress situations.

  • Proficiency in basic computer operations and data entry.

Preferred Qualifications

  • One year of experience in a high-volume call center, customer service, or administrative role.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology or public safety procedures.
  • CPR/First Aid certification.
  • Experience with Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD) systems.
