Job Description
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Restaurant General Manager to lead our team in South Bend. As a General Manager, you will be responsible for the overall operations, financial performance, and guest experience of our restaurant. This role requires a strong leader who can inspire a diverse team, maintain high standards of quality and service, and drive profitability. Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of daily restaurant operations, including front-of-house and back-of-house activities.
- Manage and develop a high-performing team, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations.
- Ensure exceptional guest satisfaction by maintaining high standards of food quality, service, and cleanliness.
- Manage financial performance, including budgeting, cost control, inventory management, and sales growth.
- Implement and enforce all company policies, procedures, and health and safety regulations.
- Monitor and analyze sales and profitability data to identify trends and implement corrective actions.
- Develop and execute local marketing initiatives to drive traffic and increase brand awareness.
- Resolve guest complaints and issues promptly and professionally.
- Maintain a positive and productive work environment for all employees.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in restaurant management.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and develop a large team.
- Strong understanding of restaurant operations, including kitchen and dining room management.
- Proficiency in financial management, including P&L analysis, budgeting, and cost control.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Knowledge of local health and safety regulations.
- Proven track record of driving sales and improving guest satisfaction.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience with high-volume, casual dining concepts.
- Certification in food safety management (e.g., ServSafe).
- Familiarity with restaurant POS systems and inventory management software.
