Job Description
Are you a people-person with a passion for hospitality? The Star Gold Coast is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Restaurant Hosts / Hostesses to join our dynamic team for night and weekend shifts. In this pivotal front-of-house role, you will be the first impression for our valued guests, ensuring a warm welcome and seamless dining experience from arrival to departure. Key Responsibilities
- Warmly greet and welcome guests upon arrival, managing reservations and walk-ins efficiently.
- Escort guests to their tables, ensuring a comfortable and appropriate seating arrangement.
- Maintain an organized and clean host stand and waiting area.
- Manage waiting lists during peak hours, accurately quoting wait times and keeping guests informed.
- Assist with answering phone calls, taking reservations, and responding to guest inquiries.
- Collaborate effectively with servers, kitchen staff, and management to ensure smooth service flow.
- Handle guest concerns or special requests with professionalism and a positive attitude.
- Familiarize yourself with the restaurant's menu, daily specials, and seating plan.

Preferred Qualifications

- Knowledge of food and beverage service standards.
- Current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certification (or willingness to obtain).
