Job Description
Join our dynamic team at Delta Hotels by Marriott Grand Okanagan Resort as a Room Service Order Taker. This entry-level position is perfect for individuals looking to start a career in hospitality, with full training provided. You will be an essential part of our guest experience, responsible for accurately and courteously taking room service orders, ensuring timely and delightful delivery, and enhancing our guests’ stays. We are specifically looking for individuals available for night shifts to support our 24/7 operations, offering flexibility and a chance to learn the ropes of hotel food and beverage service.
Key Responsibilities
- Answer incoming room service calls promptly and professionally, demonstrating excellent telephone etiquette.
- Accurately record guest orders, noting any special requests, allergies, or dietary restrictions.
- Utilize our Point-of-Sale (POS) system to input orders and process payments.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen and delivery staff to ensure smooth and efficient order fulfillment.
- Provide detailed information about menu items, specials, and resort amenities to enhance the guest experience.
- Resolve guest inquiries and concerns efficiently and courteously, escalating issues when necessary.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring a professional appearance at all times.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure a seamless and high-quality room service operation.
