Job Description
We are seeking dedicated and reliable individuals to join our team as a Part-Time School Crossing Supervisor. This vital community role involves ensuring the safe passage of children and pedestrians across designated school crossings, fostering a secure environment for our youngest residents. Full training will be provided, making this an ideal opportunity for community-minded individuals seeking a meaningful part-time position with no prior experience required.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise children and pedestrians at designated school crossings before and after school hours.
- Safely stop vehicular traffic to allow pedestrians to cross.
- Educate children and motorists on road safety procedures and proper crossing etiquette.
- Maintain a visible and authoritative presence, wearing provided uniform and safety equipment.
- Report any incidents, near misses, or unusual occurrences to relevant authorities.
- Adhere to all traffic regulations and Council safety guidelines.
- Communicate courteously and effectively with children, parents, motorists, and school staff.
