Job Description
We are seeking dedicated and meticulous individuals to join our team as Public Transport Cleaners, specializing in night work for our trains and buses in Townsville. This crucial role involves maintaining the highest standards of hygiene and presentation across our fleet, ensuring a clean and welcoming environment for all passengers. Working during night hours, you will be responsible for a thorough cleaning regimen, preparing our vehicles for daily service. Full training will be provided to successful candidates.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive cleaning of train carriages, bus interiors, and exterior surfaces during night shifts.
- Sanitize high-touch areas including seats, handrails, doors, and passenger common areas.
- Empty waste bins and dispose of rubbish appropriately.
- Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors and aisles.
- Clean windows, mirrors, and interior panels.
- Replenish supplies such as hand sanitizer and air fresheners as required.
- Report any damage, maintenance issues, or safety hazards observed during cleaning.
- Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and cleaning product guidelines.
- Operate cleaning equipment safely and efficiently.
Required Skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team during night hours.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high standards of cleanliness.
- Reliability and excellent time management skills.
- Physical stamina to perform demanding cleaning tasks.
- Basic understanding of cleaning processes and safety procedures (training provided).
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in commercial cleaning, particularly within a transport or industrial environment.
- Current Australian Driver's License.
- Knowledge of WHS (Work Health and Safety) regulations.
