Job Description

Fraser Coast Security Solutions is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Security Screen Installer Helper to join our growing team in Hervey Bay. No prior experience is required – we are seeking individuals with a strong work ethic, a willingness to learn, and a commitment to quality. This is an incredible opportunity to learn all aspects of security screen installation from experienced professionals. You will work alongside our skilled installers, assisting with installations, measurements, and customer interactions, while gaining hands-on experience that will set you up for long-term success in the industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist lead installers with the precise measurement, cutting, and fitting of security screens and doors.
  • Prepare work sites by gathering tools, materials, and equipment needed for installations.
  • Help with the safe and efficient transportation and handling of security products.
  • Learn and apply proper installation techniques under direct supervision.
  • Maintain a clean and organised work environment, both on site and at the workshop.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and customers in a professional manner.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and company guidelines at all times.

Required Skills

  • Strong willingness to learn and develop new trade skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and precision.
  • Ability to follow instructions accurately and efficiently.
  • Basic understanding of hand tools and power tools (or a strong desire to learn).
  • Good physical fitness and ability to lift heavy objects and work in various weather conditions.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Current Australian Driver's License (manual highly regarded).
  • Current Construction Induction Card (White Card).
  • Basic knowledge of construction or handy work.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
