Job Description
Join Fry’s Food and Drug as a Self-Checkout Monitor in Prescott, AZ. This is an easy, entry-level role where your primary responsibility will be to provide friendly assistance to customers using our self-checkout lanes. You’ll help ensure a smooth and positive shopping experience by answering questions, troubleshooting minor issues, and maintaining a tidy self-checkout area. No prior experience is necessary; we provide comprehensive on-the-job training.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and offer assistance at self-checkout stations.
- Monitor self-checkout lanes to identify and resolve common issues (e.g., scanning errors, payment problems).
- Provide guidance to customers on how to use self-checkout equipment efficiently.
- Ensure self-checkout area remains clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies (bags, etc.).
- Process payment transactions and issue change or receipts as needed.
- Verify age for restricted purchases when required.
- Maintain a calm and friendly demeanor, even during busy periods.
- Collaborate with other store associates to ensure overall store efficiency and customer satisfaction.
