Job Description

DB Schenker UK is seeking a dedicated Shed Hand (Wool) to join our fast-paced operations in Speke, Liverpool. This role embodies the spirit of traditional Aussie work culture – demanding physical stamina, a can-do attitude, and a commitment to getting the job done efficiently. While the role title references “Wool,” it signifies a general labourer position focused on handling various goods within our warehouse environment, including potentially textile-related products or general cargo requiring careful handling and robust physical effort. You will be an integral part of our logistics chain, ensuring smooth material flow and maintaining a safe, productive workspace. Full training will be provided for all specific tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Loading and unloading goods, including manual handling of heavy items.
- Sorting, stacking, and organizing products within the warehouse.
- Operating warehouse equipment (e.g., pallet jacks) after proper training.
- Assisting with inventory checks and stock rotation.
- Maintaining cleanliness and orderliness of the work area.
- Adhering strictly to health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Working effectively as part of a team to meet daily targets.
- Performing other general labour duties as required.
Required Skills
- Strong physical fitness and stamina for manual handling tasks.
