Job Description
Are you ready to travel Australia, bringing exciting exhibition and event concepts to life? Exhibition & Event Services (E&ES) is seeking dedicated and energetic Exhibition Set-Up Staff to join our national projects team. This role involves significant travel across Australia, setting up and dismantling a wide variety of exhibition stands, displays, and temporary event structures. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, enjoy hands-on work, and are eager to see different parts of the country while contributing to successful events, this opportunity is for you. We are looking for individuals who are physically fit, reliable, and possess a strong work ethic. Full training will be provided to ensure you are equipped with the skills needed to excel in this exciting role.
Key Responsibilities
- Travel extensively to various project sites across Australia as required by project schedules.
- Load and unload exhibition equipment, materials, and structures from transport vehicles.
- Assemble, construct, and install exhibition stands, displays, staging, and temporary event structures according to plans and specifications.
- Dismantle and pack down exhibition elements efficiently and safely post-event.
- Install graphics, signage, and branding materials with precision.
- Assist with basic technical setup, including audio-visual and lighting components, under supervision.
- Adhere strictly to all company and site-specific health and safety protocols and guidelines.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicles in good working order.
- Collaborate effectively with team members, project managers, and on-site staff to ensure seamless execution.
- Represent E&ES professionally at all times while on site and during travel.
Required Skills
- Physical fitness and stamina to perform manual labour, lift heavy objects, and stand for extended periods.
- Basic understanding of hand and power tools (training provided for specific equipment).
- Strong ability to follow detailed instructions and work plans accurately.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Valid Australian Driver's License.
- Flexibility and willingness to travel extensively and work irregular hours, including weekends and public holidays.
- Ability to obtain a White Card (Construction Induction Card) prior to commencement.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in events, exhibition setup, construction, general labour, or a related field.
- Forklift operator license.
- First Aid certification.
- Experience working with various materials such as timber, metal, and fabric.
- A positive 'can-do' attitude and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
