Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and calm Shopping Mall Security Dispatcher to join our team at Westfield Parramatta. This full-time, sit-down role is crucial for maintaining the safety and security of our expansive shopping centre. You will be the central communication point for our security operations, monitoring surveillance systems, dispatching security personnel, and documenting incidents. Key Responsibilities
- Monitor CCTV systems and alarm panels diligently, identifying and reporting suspicious activities or incidents.
- Act as the primary point of contact for all security-related communications, including phone calls and radio transmissions.
- Dispatch security personnel to incidents, emergencies, and routine assignments efficiently and effectively.
- Maintain accurate and detailed logs of all activities, incidents, dispatches, and communications.
- Coordinate with emergency services (police, fire, ambulance) as required during critical incidents.
- Assist in the preparation of incident reports and provide administrative support to the security management team.
- Operate and monitor access control systems.
- Provide clear and concise instructions to security officers in the field.
Required Skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
- Strong attention to detail and observational skills.
- Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure.
- Sound decision-making abilities.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a dynamic environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in a dispatch, call centre, or security control room role.
- Current NSW Security Licence (Class 1F or 2E preferred).
- First Aid and/or CPR certification.
- Familiarity with CCTV monitoring systems and radio communication protocols.
