Job Description

We are seeking enthusiastic and detail-oriented individuals to join our social media support team as a Social Media Moderator. This entry-level position is perfect for students looking to gain valuable experience in a professional environment, offering flexible hours to accommodate your studies. In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring, engaging with, and providing support to our online community across various social media platforms. Crucially, this role involves NO voice work – all interactions are text-based. Full training will be provided, ensuring you have all the tools and knowledge to succeed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor social media channels for mentions, comments, and inquiries related to Telstra's products and services.
  • Engage with customers and the online community in a professional, friendly, and helpful manner.
  • Address customer queries and concerns through written responses, escalating complex issues to appropriate internal teams when necessary.
  • Moderate user-generated content to ensure compliance with community guidelines and company policies.
  • Identify and report trends, common issues, and potential reputation risks to the wider social media team.
  • Contribute to the creation of FAQ resources and knowledge base articles based on recurring inquiries.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of Telstra's products, services, and current promotions.

Required Skills

  • Excellent written communication skills with strong grammar and spelling.
  • High level of empathy and a customer-first mindset.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify nuances in online conversations.
  • Proficiency in navigating various social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn).

Preferred Qualifications
