Job Description
Are you looking for a stable, full-time role with no prior experience required? Cleanaway is seeking dedicated and enthusiastic individuals to join our team as a Street Sweeper Assistant in Parramatta. Key Responsibilities
- Assist street sweeper operators in daily cleaning routes.
- Operate and maintain handheld cleaning tools and small equipment as instructed.
- Perform manual sweeping, litter collection, and waste removal from streets, footpaths, and public areas.
- Report any equipment malfunctions, hazards, or unusual observations to supervisors.
- Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and procedures.
- Help with basic maintenance and cleaning of the sweeping vehicles and equipment.
- Work effectively as part of a team to ensure efficient completion of routes.
Required Skills
- No prior experience required – full training will be provided.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a team environment.
- Physical fitness and ability to perform tasks requiring bending, lifting (up to 20kg), and standing for extended periods in various weather conditions.
- Commitment to safety and willingness to learn safety procedures.
Preferred Qualifications
- Valid Australian Driver's License (Class C or higher).
- Basic understanding of local geography of Parramatta and surrounding areas.
- Prior experience working outdoors or in a physically demanding role (not essential but beneficial).
